6th Annual Voices for Hunger’ Concert
Saturday, May 5
This amazing array of talent gathers to share beautiful music and raise money for the Community Food Bank in Hillside.  Cash gifts and gifts on non-perishable foods are welcome.

All Day Scrapbooking/Card Making/Crafting Event
May 12, 2018 - 9am-9pm in Fellowship Hall
Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Dessert will be provided. Goody Bags,  Door Prizes, Scrapbook Prizes and a few Surprises!

Cost:  $70/whole day or $35/half day Any registrations received after the May 5th deadline will be an additional charge of $10. Click here for a registration form.

Mark Your Calendars

In the coming months there are going to be a variety of service, mission, and celebration events in the life of the church, please be sure to mark your calendar and plan to be part of them:

April 14th – Triad Choir in the Sanctuary.  The incredibly talented Triad Choir returns to the sanctuary of Butler UMC of an evening concert.

April 20th – Bella Voce Choir in the Sanctuary.

May 20th – ‘Change the World Sunday’.  We hit the streets to work with and for our neighbors to clean-up, improve and share good time together.  Lunches will be packed for Eva’s Village at the church and projects in the Community will be announced.

June 9th – ‘Car Show and Barb-b-que” at the Church.  Come and see a beautiful array of vintage cars in the Church parking lot and then treat yourself to a delicious BBQ dinner on the front lawn of the church from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  (Rain date is Sunday, June 10th  Noon – 3 p.m.)

August 20th – 24th, from 9:30am - 12:30pm …Vacation Bible School

Red Bird Mission Trip
July 14-21, 2018
The sign up is now open and registrations need to be in by March 1st. The cost to participate is $275 per person and a one half deposit on your trip ($137.50) is due with your registration. Any person who feels physically able and is up for a spiritual challenge is welcome to be part of the 2018 team.  Participants need to be either 14 years old, or have finished 8th grade. In April, Pastor Mike will begin a series of sermons on ‘Signs of Hope’ for Easter People.

On each Sunday, he will look at ways that the resurrection has empowered real word actions and attitudes for those who are following Jesus.

Wednesday Night Bible Study … in the Library, 7:00 to 9:00 pm. 
  “The Daniel Prayer” by Anne Graham Lotz – called the ‘best preacher in the family” by her father, Billy Graham.  A six week Bible Study will begin Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in the Library.  Suggested Donation $10. If interested please leave a message at 838-2026 x15 by April 6th so study guides can be ordered.
