Christmas Shoppe at Gleaners
December 7 & 14, 9:30am - 1:00pm
On the Saturdays December 7th, and December 14th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the Gleaners will be sponsoring a Christmas Shoppe in the Asbury Room next to Gleaners. Some extra hands would be welcome to help with setting up, operating, and cleaning up after each day.

Join us for a special time of fellowship as we make a joyful noise singing Carols to our church family members and friends who are not able to join us in worship. Followed by supper in the Fellowship Hall.
NC Hurricane Relief Work Trip
January 11-18, 2020
Next January we will be returning to Tarboro, North Carolina to engage in the mission of rebuilding people’s homes that were flooded in Hurricane Matthew. You do not need to be highly skilled to be on the team, just have a heart to serve God and your neighbor. Your cost for the trip is $100 plus the cost of your meals when you travel and dinners while we are in Tarboro. Advent & Christmas Worship
Pastor Mike will be preaching during Advent and Christmas using scenes and moments from ‘It’s a Charlie Brown Christmas’ to help show the importance of Jesus coming into our world.
December 1st: Communion Scripture: Matthew 1:18-2:6

December 15th: Christmas Cantata at Butler UMC… 9:30 a.m.
Scripture: Luke 1:5-25 Sermon: ‘You Never Know’
December 22nd: Scripture: Romans 8:18-27 Sermon: ‘We Need Someone’
December 24th Christmas Eve: 5:00pm - Family Service ‘The Do-It-Yourself Christmas Pageant’ with Candle lighting. All the best songs and scriptures of the Christmas Season and the chance for young worshippers to have a ‘hands on’ experience with Jesus’ birth.
9:00 pm - Service of Communion and Candlelight. Candlelight, Carols, and Communion on this ‘Holy Night’ Pastor Mike will offer a meditation: ‘Have You Heard?'
11:45 pm Candlelight, Communion, the Christmas Story, and Silent
Night in Butler Park. (A simple, stand up service of about 15 minutes that take us ‘out on the town’ to share the quiet of the night and candlelight together. Dress warm and the service is weather permitting)
December 29th: Bilingual Carols and Communion 10:00 am. We gather to celebrate the songs of our faith and the season in two languages and gather around the table of the Lord and be held in the love of Christ.

Monday Evenings through Advent - Study of the Gospel of Luke with Pastor Mike at 7:30 pm
Wednesday Night Bible Study - Each week from 7:00 – 9:00 pm in the Church Library. In this four-session video Bible study, bestselling author Andy Stanley explores the details behind the remarkable story of Jesus’ birth and explains why Christmas is so important for us today.
Thursday Evenings – Spanish Bible Study - Each week, 7:00 pm in the Church Library
Men's Friday Morning Bible Study - Each week from 6:00 – 7:00 am in the Church Youth Room
